THE COMPANY

We are accountants who specialise in property and property related companies. We also have a fair share of other exciting clients including apiarists; psychotherapists; dentists; artists; people who work in the film and TV industry, hospitality businesses, retail, professional sport, music to name a few!

Boon & Worth will ‘get’ people’s business aims and help reach them with – not just someone who gets given the books once a year to produce the statutory requirements.

The Position

Accountants – newly qualified or part qualified with a minimum of 2 years practice experience – to help us maintain our service to our clients. We are also looking to train in house, so if you are currently training and would like to continue to train as an accountant contact us.

The role

You must be ACCA, ACA Qualified and have at least 2 years Practice experience.

You must be a self-starter and a clear communicator at all levels. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and pro-actively in the practice that is client focused.

Can you?

  • Manage a sizeable and growing portfolio of clients across many sectors?
  • Communicate effectively and knowledgeably with clients?
  • Review accounts for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships and deal with Tax computations?
  • Prepare and review year-end accounts?

Are you?

  • ACCA, ACA Qualified and have at least 2 years Practice experience.
  • Up to date with your accounting package knowledge and practical experience on systems such as Digita, Iris, Sage and Xero for client bookkeeping?
  • Working with a diverse portfolio of clients and developing great client relationships?
  • Up to date with your knowledge and practical experience with business tax computations and the preparation of partnership and corporation tax returns
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of statutory accounts as well as management accounts.

  • Good computer literacy (MS Office, Excel) cloud based accounting packages – Digita, Sage, Xero and use of CRM systems.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Bright, confident personality
  • Well presented

  • Be aware of HMRC and Companies House requirements

The location

We are based in Hereford. This is an office based position.

The Positions 

We need fabulous Bookkeepers to help us continue to deliver the exceptional service that our clients’ expect.  

Perhaps you are a part qualified accountant who has stopped training but loves bookkeeping, or a bookkeeper looking for a flexible hours role.

The role

This position is of key importance within the organisation and the successful candidate must have bookkeeping experience and be Xero trained

  • Assisting clients with Xero including training and setting up  
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Must be IT literate and able to use a variety of cloud based IT packages 
  • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively plan and organise your workload
  • Display the initiative to resolve issues quickly in an appropriate manner.
  • Co-ordinating client information sent in and managing the work flow within the office 
  • Assisting clients with Xero including: processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into Xero accounting software 

What we’re looking for

  • A good deal of common sense, etiquette and an ability to think on one’s feet 
  • Xero trained
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office, Excel) cloud based accounting packages – Digita, Sage etc. and use of CRM systems.
